Kona Rove 2017 ST rear derailer hanger replacement

Can someon help me determine what rear derailer hanger I need to replace the original on my 2017 Kona Rove 2017. It broke when I tried to bend the derailer back after a recent crash.
https://www.konaworld.com/archive/2017/rove_st.cfm
Unfortunately, Kona Parts site is down, with no indication as to when it will be back.
https://konaparts.com/product/hanger-dropouts-hanger-et2/
This site lists replacements for the Kona Rove ST 2018-2020 but not the my 2017

Email Kona - they should be able to tell you the correct model of hanger.

(Just today I emailed my frame vendor and asked if I could buy a spare hanger and they said they don't sell them, but told me the hanger from Wheels Manufacturing the frame came with).

Also posting good clear pictures of it would be a huge help. Without seeing it it is hard to determine anything. The company is always good to reach out to but pictures are worth a thousand words especially in this case. Usually I am pretty decent at finding a hanger by just determining a few easy to find factors and looking on Wheels MFG's website. I am not a genius or a wiz kid or anything just some basic clue type deductions. There are a lot of options but once you know how many bolts it starts to narrow it down and then with knowing the model and manufacturer it gets even easier.

All Our Bicycle Derailleur Hangers | DerailleurHanger.com This place doesn't list a hanger for the 2017 either but you can use their "number of fasteners" and "mounting" drop down lists on the left of the page to make a visual match for yours.

Yea, simply contact Kona. Then you can search for the part. Wheels MFG might have it if you can't find it elsewhere. Also, they have a part finder, but the database isn't 100%

There's also a part finder at derailleurhanger.com

Just realized some Wheels Manufacturing RD hangers have numbers on them. If you have the pieces of your broken hanger, maybe there's a number on it.

Did it look like this before it got mangled? I searched "Kona Rove ST derailleur hanger" on Ebay...several others appeared, but weren't as specific of a return...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/18487493069...3ABFBMisfLm-dh

if this one isn't correct, run the same search to view other possibilities.

A few years ago I helped a friend get a replacement hanger, and we went by the shape, but when it came in, the supplied bolts with the new one weren't as long as the original. She went to a store where I believe they had some longer bolts. ( Teeny tiny things btw)

So be careful, and if you think that this sort of thing could happen again, it might be worth getting two of them.

Thanks Tyrion, Crankycrank, Camilo and Veganbikes for yourhelpful replies.

My apologies. I usually supply pics when I'm seeking support, but on this occassion I'm away from home on a work trip and thought I'd try to sort it out during my freetime. I'll post a picture when I get home to complete the thread and in case anyone searches for it in future.

Kona bikes emailed me to say it's an "S" hanger I'm after. They asked for my nearest Kona dealer, which is Omafiets in Sydney, so they can send me one via them. I've been having a few crashes lately so maybe I should order two 🤔

I'd recommend putting some blue thread lock on the screws too. Most likely there will be some on the new screws, but if not, is worth doing it so you hopefully won't have to touch then again.

Also make sure you check the alignment of the new hanger when mounted. They don't always bolt on perfectly aligned especially after a crash.

The thread inspired me to actually order hangers that I'd been intending to from Bicycle Derailleur Hangers | DerailleurHanger.com They sold exactly the same products as Wheels Mfg Derailleur Hangers for my two bikes (a Felt and a Jamis, both about 10 years old). Essentially the same price, but the derailleurhanger.com happened to have a slightly preferable shipping option for me. I've used Wheels Manufacturing for bottom brackets in the past and was very satisfied with them too.

OP: if the Kona direct doesn't pan out, both of the above sites do show Kona bikes in their search, so you will be able to find one there if need be.

When you order a hanger from one of these companies, it's best to have eyes on the one you're replacing just to make sure they match visually, connection points, etc.

I do a search on eBay or the internet and compare visually with the one I've got. If I don't have one handy to compare, I look for photos of the bike online and zoom in on the rear derailleur for a close look.
