This place sometimes seems like an endless Whac-a-Mole. What draws them here?

Some gave chase, but none ever caught up. I wore old tennis shoes, cut-off Levis and an old rock concert tee-shirt while blowing off people that think extra money will make them somehow magically faster. good luck ogling drivetrains online.. It won't help you go faster. The things i mentioned will, if you learn to listen. PS.. my racing colors when i rode Dez and ISDE M/C events were white,. blue, and PINK... on a GREEN bike! :giver: |

I'm looking for more top-end speed, and want to see what some of you guys are using. I'm not racing or anything, I just want to improve the top end a little. On flat land, I can turn about 25 mph on this setup fairly easily. Also, are you using the factory drivetrain, or is it upgraded? Anything else you'd like share, have at it, so long as it is related to the drivetrain.
"the factory drivetrain, or is it upgraded" -- uh, I've modified just about every bike I've ever touched, and many of them weren't even mine. ;) Anyway, just finished this and I think I posted a photo already on another topic... but I got back from a second shakedown ride and never got past 5th gear at 24mph on the flat. I need to look it up again but calculated that 8th is about 129 gear inches (50Tx16T? on a Nexus 8). What am I going to do with that? My 66 year old knees may file for divorce. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...3f79e7d89.jpeg |

If someone rolls up on me, compliments my bike, and then sprints away, the only things I think are that the person likes my bike and is doing some high-intensity intervals. It has zero effect on my self-esteem. However, your thought process about it makes it pretty much a d**k move on your part. |

Do you have any evidence that those people actually felt or thought that way, or are those just your unfounded assumptions about a few people you don't know at all?

But LarrySellerz rides in SF, where there are hills; twogears should definitely upgrade to a 56/42 ring set. |
