Would like to mount a direct-mount RD on a standard-mount RD hanger Surly Straggler. How do i accomplish it? What part do i need?

The first one is not going to work - that's for bikes with replaceable hangers.

The second one is the part that Shimano derailleurs normally come with. That's the part the OP needs.

Ok, so the 10x1 threading is different on a replaceable vs non replaceable hanger? (even though the 10x1 derailleur bolts mount up on the same either or setup)
Why do you think it won't work when wheels says it's the part?

I have this RD in mind, to be mated with a 11-51t cogset...

That's a 'conventional' mount derailleur and will attach to a standard derailleur hanger without needing any extra parts.

It appears that you are indeed correct. I don't know why i thought it was direct-mount. Problem solved. Thanks!
