Thanks for the input, I tried a new chain, even longer, the derailleur still rubbed the cogs. I'm thinking modern day components don't work well on these old frames, it almost seems as if the angle of the derailleur cage is off, even though it is not bent? I'll look around and see if I have the original one it came with, wife doesn't mind the stationary bike in alergy season anyways.
