Sturmey Archer RS-RF3 3/32” sprocket compatibility?
hi
I wonder if I can pair the Sturmey Archer's RS-RF3 (3 speeds) internal gear-hub with a 3/32” sproket.
Its part-list document only lists these 1/8" sprockets parts
Sturmey Arche also has 3/32" sprockects parts for a similar internal gear hub (e.g. the rx-rk5, a 5 speeds hub)
If not, is there any third party company that makes 3/32" sprocket for the RS-RF3?

Yeah, lotsa choice here. Sturmey-Archer, Shimano, SRAM (Fitchel&Sachs), a lot of SS coaster brake hubs - in a rare bit of multi-brand uniformity, the 35mm 'three tab' sprockets all interchange.

Fun fact: Sturmey-Archer adopted the 35mm three-tab sprocket in 1952. They fit Sturmey's 2-, 3-, 4-, most 5- and 7-speed hubs produced in the last 70 years, plus Shimano 3-, 4-, 5-, 7-, 8- and 11-speed hubs produced in the last 30+ years, Sachs/SRAM 3-, 5- and 7-speed hubs manufactured since the mid-1950s and others.
Oh, right, yeah, no, you can't use the 50mm RX-RF5 sprockets on your RX-RF3 hub.

Here are just a few of the sprockets you can use:

Sturmey offers/has offered these in chrome, black oxide and, hmm, some other kind of finish I can't remember the name of, all with different part numbers. Plus there are those Shimano, SRAM and other sprockets that work, too.

These Shimano sprockets will work, and your LBS is more likely to inventory them.

Cool. In my picture in post no. 3, that's an 8-speed chain. Works!
