Campagnolo Khamsin freehub question.

Hello,
I run into trouble with my first vintage bike rebuild. I bought set of Khamsin wheels (80€),wich game
with campagnolo freehub 11 speed. But I allready have shimano 2x8 Claris groupset.
So after googeling I found out I could buy Campagnolo freehub body wich fits to Shimano cassette ,but it costs like 60€.
Is there opinion to just replace whole freehub to shimano and just build rim around correct hub, since its 3-times cheaper option?
Or can I mix my groupset by removing cogs from my cassette?
Thank you for helping!

Do you mean changing the whole hub? Changing a hub requires that you remove all the spokes and completely rebuild the wheel. I have done this, but I have built dozens of wheels. You might also have to buy all new spokes if the hub flanges are a different diameter. You also have to make sure that the new hub has the same number of spoke holes. This isn't a job for a beginner. That new free hub body might seem like a bargain if you have to change spokes as well. Asking a bike shop to change the hub would cost quite a bit more than a new free hub body

Yeah,I was thinking about replacing whole new hub,but as you said It will be too mutch effort, trying to sell my 11 speed campa cassette instead and buy that campa-> shimano adapter

I wonder if you're going at this backwards.

You bought Khamsin wheels, with a freehub to accept Campagnolo 11s cassettes. Now you want to change to Shimano. So forget everything related to Campagnolo, and shop for a Khamsin freehub for Shimano cassettes.

However, the OP was complaining about the price of a Shimano compatible free hub body in the first post

That's a user choice, not a mechanical question. I don't get involved in telling people how to spend their dough.
