Source for Extended Pedals or Pedal Extender

I need to extend my left pedal about 16-18mm. Does anyone have a source for an extended pedal (SPD cleats) or a pedal extender? I've looked around and can't find anything of known quality. Everything I've found has a few sketchy reviews (like they break).

Thanks in advance.

I did a few searches on BF before I posted this, but didn't find anything. Do you have a link?

Was just looking, there are too many! (I use google to search BF) could not find the one that I had read which had a bunch of good info. What I remember reading was there were various sizes available but they all extended a decent amount (maybe too much) There are also pedals that have integrated extensions/longer geometry. "Kneesavers" if I remember correctly is OG and lots of generic knock-offs. I would Google "pedal extensions bikeforums.net" and dig through some threads.

I have used Kneesavers since 1980. They are available in three widths and in SS and Titanium. I have the 20mm SS ones.

Yeah, I did. The reviews on what they have are pretty scary.

I have no experience with these, but reading about them I saw a noticeable difference in comments between those that are hollow (permit tightening the pedal through them ?) and those that are solid, the solid ones being the safer bet.

You can also change your crank for one with a greater Q-factor, which is what I did.

I thought about that too, but the setup is a square taper Campy crank from the glorious days of Nuovo and Super Record, so that isn't feasible. My crankset is in better shape than my knees......

Many manufactures no longer machine wrench flats on their pedals. If you use Kneesavers you may need to find a new set of pedals also.

Whatever it is, I won’t buy stressed parts on eBay or Amazon unless the are a major brand, and then I’m really careful about counterfeits.

For example, there are some SRAM labeled derailleurs on Amazon that are about 60% the cost of what the major online bike retailers sell them for. No thanks.
