Is there a database of front derailleur pull standards and variations?
 

The recent "wide range MTB FD" thread provides the most recent example of a common issue. Front derailleur cable pulled is varied and there does not appear to be a reference for interested parties. Has anyone seen a front derailleur (and shifter) database?

I periodically check and haven't seen one. I have many modern standards to measure and document, but my interest remains low. It would be nice if the work has already been done, even if only partially. As it has been for RDs, casettes, and shifters.

That's a helpful resource, but not detailed enough.

We need actual pull measurements, for both shifters and FD.

Example:

"Shimano short pull road" FD require ~9-9.5mm of cable pull.
"Shimano long pull road" toggle link FD require 6-6.5mm of cable pull - or is this "short pull"? - Shimano toggle link compatible shifters can also be paired with long-arm conventional FD, are they dual compatible? Are toggle link, but not long arm road, backwards compatible?

How much cable does a modern Mountain double shifter pull? Is it enough to shift a toggle link FD?

What is the cable pull for side-swing FDs?

Been looking for that same info for the last few years with zero success. It's reasonably available for RDs and shifters, but for some reason not for FDs.
