seat help!

someone stole my nice comfy bike seat off my schwinn cruiser. the post is there but no seat. i was looking at buying a seat but when i look under them, none of them have a hole for the post to go into! the seats just have 2 bars (see pic here so how will i put my seat on?

You also need the clamp part with the hole in it that goes on top of your post.

Local store will help you put the seat on. THis link will also help.

Once you're done, also check with the local bike store mechanic to be sure your seat is safely fixed OK.

You can do as Sydney suggested and try to find the clamp that goes on top of your post or you can buy a complete new seat post with the clamp included.

You can either buy a seat post like they use on fancier bikes( ) - get the right diameter to fit your bike, or you can ask your local bike shop for the bracket to go on the top of a straight seat post - they will probably have several in their scrap parts bin.
