Campy shifter cable routing sharp bends?
Just got a used merlin agilis LOVE it but... came with campy chorus carbon and the shifter cables make kind of a sharp bend to make it from benieth the handlebar wrap to the head-tube mounts. I think this might be a problem as the cable housings seem to be (both) cracked where they go into the cable adjusters. The shifting is not as precise as my dura ace 9 speed. I've double checked all other routing and oil issues and can;'t find any other place where undo friction may be introduced, but what is the fix? The cables are long enough etc, I suppose I could replace but i dont; know another 'better' route, and even if I play with shorter/longer length I thin the result would be the same.... had anybody ever used a pair of travel agents? todd

I looked at mine and just don't get it.Maybe the bars are taped too far toward the center. Mine lack a good bit and there is no undue casing bend. Plenty of other possibilities for subjective 'not as precise shifting'. One of which could be just a different feel to the campy stuff.
