FD: top to bottom pull

I'm replacing my front derailleur, currently top pull/top swing with one that is bottom pull/top swing. Does the transition to a bottom pull pose an issue? I made sure the swing was the same...

Yeah, it can be an issue if your cable routing does not support it.

As pull is the direction the cable pulls in you are going to have a problem. Unless your frame has a mount for pulley or you plan to use a clamp on pulley. You will see these on Cyclocross frames, that have top routed cables but use a traditional, bottom pull, road der.
