3 speed hub
Howdy folks,
I bought a huffy three speed at the flee market (20$) for my wife. She has not ridden in 20 years or so. I took her on a ten mile hike yesterday and she (Me too) was amazed at how easy the thing was to ride. The Hub is called shimano and is a feewheel type. I'm thinking the bike is at least 20 years old, and is in very good shape. I was thinking of putting a three speed coaster hub on it. How much whould this cost and how easy to do? Thanks, Albuquerque Nut. |
I'm not sure of your intent here - it already has a 3 speed hub on there?

You may be able to convert to the coaster brake - check the Shima site: http://bike.shimano.com Of course others, like SRAM, also make internally geared hubs. When I looked into this for my old city bike when I lived in Holland, it would have cost almost as much to put on a new hub as to buy a new bike with that hub already on it. :( |
