Stripped Pedal thread

I just stripped my pedal threading on the driv-side of one of my cranks installing a new set of pedals. The pedals seems to be fine. I was able to successfully installed them on another bike, but the crank seems to be shot. I reinstalled the old pedals and try a new one with varing results. Is there a way to rethread them, or do I have to buy new cranks?

You're SOL. Bad luck. Well, maybe you needed to upgrade that crankset anyway. You can always keep the rings, and the non-drive side crank arm might come in handy in the future.

They can be rethreaded or "chased" up to a point. One of my pedals came off on a metric century last year. The beginning of the threaded portion of the crank-arm was so damaged that the pedal could not be reinstalled. One of our local and really good bike mechanics "chased" the thread for me and it works fine. Reworking an existing thread requires a different tool than cutting one the first time. It's most easily done on the bike by the way.
