GT Avalanche fork
I have a 2003 GT Avalanche 3.0 (19 inch frame) which I am upgrading with new Hope Mini disc brakes and a front fork.
It is currently fitted with a Suntour XC-60, which is completely shot. I am looking to replace it with something better, ideally a Fox, Pace, Marzocch or Manitoui. I have about GPB300 (US$550) to spend and would like something with a bit more travel, while keeping the bike's geometry the same.
I have to choose from the brands listed above because I live in Thailand and it's hard to get hold of parts from other manufacturers.
I would be grateful for any tips on what would be best suited for single-track use (I don't do big air!) and can be fitted with minumum modification.
Many thanks.
