i've found the park tool site helpful for specific problems, i guess what i was looking for was a guide somewhere to regular maintenance, such as what to lube, when and how, keeping brakes tight, etc......just a general refer all to. i find i'm searching all over the place on this forum, not that it isn't helpful.

How long is a piece of string?
Your maintenance schedule will depend on how often you ride, how far you ride, and the conditions you ride in. A short commute in a hilly area is much different than a long loop on flat ground. Dusty or wet conditions are another variable. Give us more info, and we can suggest a maintenance program to suit you. |
Here's Trek's take on scheduled maintenance. It's a starting point, anyway. YMMV....

that trek site was actually quite helpful.... ideally what i was hoping to find was a site that gave info about what to check every x number of km's or weeks etc. most of the sites i've come across have been good for telling me how to adjust brakes or true my wheel when the need arises, but i havevn't really seen anything that gives a good maintenance schedule.
