Shimano Flight Deck ?'s

The "guy" at my LBS apparently erased the total kilometres on the odometer when he recalibrated my Flight Deck SC-6501 for the new cassette ratios with the upgrade to an Ultegra cassette.

Is it possible to re-enter the accumulated total kms. (4,800kms.) to date on this particular unit ?

Yes, it is possible. I just reset my FD this weekend because I reset my cassette. Just follow the instructions in the manual and know your rings and cogs, as you will need to reset them again. I know the guy at the shop did it for you, but it is pretty easy. Hardest part for me was trying to figure out how to get it into setup mode. You just need to hit the reset button on the back and follow the instructions from there.

I should also mention that the manual can be found on shimano's website.

Hope that helps.

You can enter your odometer on the 6501. Interestingly, the 6500 does not allow entering an odometer value.
