Mini-Pump Recomendation
After having a few flats in the last few weeks I've come to realize my mini-pump isn't capable of getting me to more than maybe 30 to 35 psi. Are there mini-pumps out there that do a real good job?

I second the Topeak Road Morph... it's not tiny, though... it definitely takes up most of the space on my (short -- 48cm) seat tube. Not something you would want to carry in a jersey pocket.
To pump to higher pressure (80 - 100 psi for road tires, eg), the ideal is a long, narrow pump chamber to provide a lot of PSI at the pumping end. So a long skinny pump like a Zefal HPX is really best if you can fit one on your bike. A pump aimed at mountain bikes tends to be shorter/fatter because it doesn't need to get the pressure as high.

Topeak Road Morph. Take the word from someone who has bought 4 different mini-pumps...
I've bought the:
1. Mammoth Mini-Pump
2. Crank Bros Alloy
3. Mini-Foot Pump
4. Topeak Road Morph
I have a Road Bike and pump the tires up to 85+ psi. I also have a folder that I pump up to 50 psi. Pumping with #1 and #2 are a pain. I broke a stem with #2. #3 the mechanism is cheap and too easy to break. Then I got #4. It was an expensive lesson.

I've had a few minipumps over the years including the Road Morph. The Topeak pump is okay, but for my road bike I went back to frame pumps last year.

topeak road morph hands down. after my floor pump broke i decided not to even buy an new one and just use the road morph as my one and only pump... Ive gotten up to about 120psi with it and its $35 or less to!

Get a " ROAD MORPH ".
As stated, it is larger and bit more expensive, but it works very well. The longer plunger also means less strokes to get the job done.
I hang mine on the underside of the down tube, behind the front wheel between the pedals. It's Silver/Alum. and Blk., just like my Roubaix.

I recently bought a road morph, and tested by inflating my tires to 80 PSI without a problem.

One advantage of the Road Morph not mentioned so far is that it has a short flexible hose that connects the pump to the valve stem, rather like a scaled down floor pump. With the hose, it is almost impossible to break off the valve stem while you are trying to get the last few psi. Breaking the valve stem is all too easy with a conventional frame or mini-pump.
Highly recommended.
Alternative: A mini-pump to get the first 20psi or so, then a CO2 inflator. Even more highly recommended.

The Barbieri Carbone or the Barbieri Titan (which is sturdier then the Carbone but only a tad heavier) pumps up to 140+psi and is far lighter then the Road Morph, in fact 200 grams lighter!

I've got a Topeak mini pump that I've used to reinflate my tires to 120psi. Great workout!
I use the floorpump at home to top off the tires every day.

After giving up on my crappy SKS mini pump (couldnt get over 10 psi however much I pumped and sweated-how can they sell it??) I just got a Sigma Sport Alpha Jet. Like the roadmorph It has a flexible hose for connecting to the valve stem so you dont snap it. It folds out into a sort of mini-floor pump and works quite well. I don´t know how it compares with the roadmorph though as I have never used one.

Main differences between Topeak RoadMorph are..
Cheaper, you can get it for $10.- on sale.
Hose retracts unlike Morph.
It doesn't go as high(to 105psi) as Morph(140psi).
It takes less strokes(about 85 strokes to 105psi) of pumping to get the same pressure than Morph.

Thanks for all the great responses. Just today I came across a pumpless rider needing help. I couldn't get my pump to convert to presta to help him. That's great since I've been riding the last few years with presta. I haven't had flats with the knobies. Since I've gone to semi-slicks and riding in the city I've had two...lucky for me the tires went down in the garage following the rides....thanks to all....
