wheel -pinging

My friend is a masher and has been breaking his spokes - shimano 540 - wheel 24 spokes, he weighs 90kg. Is the wheel not strong for him or the spokes needs retension? The spokes feels tight already.

If they are pinging when the bike is coasting that's a sign of loose spokes, and it's the loose ones that break.

He is a bit heavy to be on only 24 spokes. 32 sounds more the right number.
