Changing the Oil on a FOX rear shock

I have an old Fox Vanilla TC (thats right, not RC... its REALLY old) and the guy who had it before me switched the piggyback reservoir aroundand it gave a pretty ******** little shock. I switched it back, but of course, when you do that, the shock is opened and the oil empties.

Id' like to know how I get new oil safely back into the shock, what oil I use, and how much do I fill the shock?

I won't be able to get a warranty fix with this one... its way too old.

Help would be appreciated!
