Cateye Velo 5 CPU - how to change to mph?

Hi all,

just purchased a cheapo velo 5 cycling computer for my touring bike. Works fine and does everything I need EXCEPT display in mph. The instructions suggest this CPU can display kmh or mph....does anyone know how i change from kph to mph?

thanks in advance

Try these instructions easier to see then those small paper ones. Look at the top of page 2.

Hope this helps.

I just bought the same computer, and the instructions simply don't explain how to do it. What appears to be the old instructions do. Gojohnnygo., your advice helped (thanks!), but the URL has changed to:

https://www.cateye.com/sites/cateye/u...s/en/VL500.pdf

To summarize, you have to do the "all clear" to be able to switch between mph (and 12-hour time) and kph (and 24-hour a.k.a. military time). To do the "all clear", hold down the main button and hit the reset button.
