bent seat tube removal

My seat tube is stuck inside my frame. I think it may have bent in a wipe out. I had it set low at the time, now I cant raise it for climbs. It won't move at all, I even put a bar with a snipe on it to torque it out. I'm afraid if I try any harder i'll bend my frame.

First try: Any high performance penetrating oil will work. However it may take some time. Take out the Bottom Bracket and with the bike inverted, pour a "large" quantity of the penetrating liquid into the seat tube. This will attack the problem from the bottom. Let it work for a while; this may take days.

Second try : gets progressively more physical but depending on frame and your experience may be better to get someone else to do it for you.

Agreed with other's suiggestions above. If lots of poured lube does not make it move, you could also try to somehow use a tool to hook the edge of the bottom of the seat post and pull it up. In extremely lost cases, we would just pound another seat post down over the top of the other. Yes the old seat post is stuck inside, but if all else fails and you still want to ride the bike ..........
