Creaking in the cranks
Hello
I have a Giant VT2 and when I pedal their is a creaking noise comming from the cranks. The noise is constant but only when I'm pedaling. Is this normal? if not what steps should I take to identify then fix the problem. The noise doesn't happen when the bike is in a work stand it only creaks while I ride it. My cranks are RaceFace Evolve XC ISIS Splined, 22/32/44T.
Thanks

I once had that creaking sound coming from the cranks. It turned out to be an out-of-adjustment at the rear derailleur.

Check the torque on the BB, then grease the splines and tighten the crankarms. Then tighten the pedals and cleats (if applicable).

Don't assume that it is the cranks too easily as it may be the sideways forces on the frame or wheels that's causing the noise so look elsewhere also.
