20mm through axel upgrade

I just made the upgrade to a 20mm through axel fork and wheelset. I wanted to find out the proper way to install the axel. Does it need to be greased or anything or does it just fit right through the hub? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

There are several attachment methods so it's best to check the fork manual for fitting instructions.

I grease my axle to try to prevent the steel bearing races in the hub corroding with the alu axle. The axles tend to have a bit of play in the hub so it's easy for water to get in there. Probably not so important in a dry climate but the grease won't hurt anything.
