Raleigh Competition Gs Spokes
 

I just broke a spoke on the rear wheel of my 1978 Raleigh Competion GS. The original spokes were double butted, 15/16/15 gauge. Well I'm having trouble finding that particular gauge spoke. So, I was thinking about using 14/15/14 gauge spokes, which are readily available from Nashbar. Has anyone used this larger diameter spoke on their GS? If so, did the holes in the hub have to be enlarged in order to accommodate the larger spoke?
