Tire levers?
What exactly are these? I think that they're for taking a tire off the wheel, comparable to a Quick Stick?
Huh??

Use 'em as little as possible. Most good MTB tires can be removed with a single pry and a bit of sideways motion, and remounted with no tools at all.
Road tires generally need a bit more help, but patience will usually get the tire back on sans levers.
I've found some Chinese tires (Kenda and others) have such heavy beads and casing that they are a real bear to get off.

And yes, you do have to be careful. One thing I liked about the quik stick is that it is pretty much indestructible. It'll flex if you put it under extreme load but it's not flexy enough to render it useless when you're just trying to put your tire on. The only bad thing about it is the head is sometimes a bit too wide to fit between the rim and the tire to put it on.
Other than that, great tool.

I use regular old cheapo tire levers...2/$1. Some made in england nameless levers. Great stuff though...they never pop out when you want them to stay, etc....also thin enough that you can slide them around to make the job suepr fast and easy.
Some tires are easy to get on and off without levers...like WTB Weirwolf....but others like the Specialized Nimbus Armadillo....dream on...you almost need three levers for that beast of a tire.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the Soma-branded steel core plastic tire levers are practically perfect.

A combo of yellow Pedro's levers and a quik stik handles everything I have, including the hellish combo of Sun DS2-XC rims and Specialized Armadillos. There's no chance of getting that bead on with your hands and is a chore, even with levers. But the combo of those two work, even if it's a longish job.
