a question of installing this headset

ok, i just got a FSA pig dh pro and noticed the lower cup has a sealed bearing factory installed which cannot be removed. i was told that the king sets are the same, but would you install it the same way? would i want to use the king hs press?
so you know, i work at a shop so theres no limits on the tools i can use. what do you recommend?

ps. would using a stem lock like woodman's capsule extrem help with the stiffness and strength of the steerer or would it be a bit over kill for agressive trailriding?

yup, use the king tools. make sure the inside of your headtube has enough clearance for those monstrous cups.

never tried one, but I would hope my steerer is strong enough without that little bolt running through it.

the cup is a normal spacing cup. i made sure not th eget the deep cups.

and im not too concerned about using a stem lock over a regular star flange, i just like the more convenient side of it. lots of people use that still star flange anyways.

The star nut/cap/bolt are just there to perload the headset. They don't give the steerer any rigidity. After looking at that link I can't see how that would do too much either. I'm sure it helps, but your steerer should be strong enough, plus it runs thru the frame/headset cups/stem which adds to the rigidity.
