Presta tube in Schrader rim
I don't see a direct answer to this on here. What's wrong with using a presta valve in a shrader rim? I figured maybe a little bit of tube is potentially exposed, is there a good method for doing this?

Cool, didn't know they made such a thing.

There are the small Al bushings and there are rubber grommets that insert in the rim hole to reduce the ssize and protect the tube. I've also seen what look like the little stem nuts that come with every presta tube but with a collar on the inner face that goes into the Schrader hole and centers a Presta stem.
I've found all of these at my LBS. |
I usually poke a small hole in a piece of rim tape then put it over the rim hole to protect the tube.
No adapters, and no problems to date. Enjoy |

I hear another solution is to simply put an extra presta nut on the inside of the rim. I haven't tried this, but it should work just fine.
