8 speed cassette>>>>

Hello all,
would like some advice please.....i am considering CS837 or CS826 8 speed cassette from harris cyclery - question is will the wheels manufacturing spacer kit (to convert to campagnolo spacing) work with these cassettes? or are some of the sproketts on a carrier? anyone have any idea?

cassettes are here:

Why not call them and ask?

Or ask via the links/email addresses on their site. They responded within a day when I asked for advice on a specific crank... Plus now, I have had the thrill of receiving an email directly from Sheldon Brown. :D

They are separate sprockets, you could use one of those kits...but my advice would be to upgrade to 9-speed by installing a 9-speed index disc in your Ergo shifter. This is about a $40 part.

Shimano and Campagnolo 9-speed spacing is close enough to be interchangeable in practice, unlike the 8-speed stuff.

Whenever I have any tough Campagnolo questions, I drop an email to Peter Chisholm at Vecchio's in Boulder. He knows more about the fine points of Campagnolo stuff than anybody else I know of.

Peter atsign vecchios.com tell him Sheldon sent ya...

^You might want to edit that post so that web bots don't recognize it as an email address and add it to spammer's lists.
