Brooks Colt, iridescent Dura-Ace cranks and more... I got questions

I recently bought a lot of parts for the shop and wondered if someone could clear up some questions I had.

One of the brooks I got looks like a team pro but the nose 'droops' slightly more then my modern pro and the letters 'Colt' are printed on the side. Info?

Also I have a set of Dura-Ace cranks which have a iridescent sheen. I'm just currious what series they are.

I wondered if there are any B.O.B people out there that can point me towards older Bridgestone info. I seem to run in to bikes which come before the Bridgestone timeline Sheldon Brown has on his site... wonderfull light lugged frames with metal rivited head badges.

Has anyone mounted a light for their bicycle under their botom bracket shell? I have a Sanyo generator which mounts in the kick-stand hole and figured a near by light location would be nice. Besides only needing a 6" wire between generator and light, I figured the placement could iluminate wheel reflectors and the ground in front of me well. Thoughts?

the series number for those dura ace cranks should be stamped on the back of the drive-side crankarm. sounds like 7700, or 7701, but without a picture, who knows?

The Colt was the one Brooks model we never carried, it was some bizarre marketing exercise, with no real advantage over the Team Pro, but was more expensive.

I don't see how it would illuminate the reflectors, and even it it did it wouldn't do any good. Reflectors only work when the light source and the viewer's eyes are pretty much in line.

The shadow of the front tire would cause a blank spot in the illumination pattern just where you need light the most. This doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

I like to mount the headlight about halfway up one of the fork blades.

Brooks called the Colt their top touring saddle in one of their old catalogs. I have one that came on a Gitane that I bought. I've never been able to break it in. It's dried out and hard as a rock. It's kind of odd looking, too.
