Polar speed sensor, picky about the magnet?
After I finally got tired of moving my spoke magnet from one wheel to the other every racing weekend, I went and bought a generic spoke magnet. Big chunky barrel shaped thing. I put it on and adjusted the gap, then spun and spun the wheel - nothing, no pickup. I checked that it is actually magnetized - that's fine. So what gives? Is Polar just 'special' and requires proprietary spoke magnets? Mine is the CS200cad, btw... Thanks!

Haha, proprietary magnets. Don't give them any ideas. Anyways i've heard the cs200 is picky with it's magnet placement.

I've had problems with my S150, I'd pretty much given up on it until i got bored and completely took it off the bike and reinstalled it. It now works like a charm, no clue what actually changed to get it working but I'm not going to complain!
