Speedplay O-rings

After spending a bit of time tracking down the right o-rings, I thought I'd save others the bother.

I noticed that the o-rings on my 4 year old speedplay X5's were cracking and looked like they were ready to fall off. I took the pedals apart and cleaned and regreased everything, and after getting no reply from emailing Speedplay, I matched them up at my local Lowes in the faucet repair section. I used #6 - 7/16 OD x 5/16 ID x 1/16, and they fit perfectly!

E-mail to Speedplay tends to get lost or delayed. I've had much better results calling their toll-free number.

They shouldn't offer an email address if they're not prepared to respond to emails the same as a phone call. E-commerce 101...

Absolutely correct in all respects. However, the facts are what I posted. Do you want to school them in e-business etiquette or get your requests taken care of?

Seems that he took care of his issue on his own. Now he ought to take them to the woodshed! Seriously though, I use Speedplays and they have been very responsive to phone requests.
