Shimano Rear Derailleur Question

Is the internal clearance of the cage the same for 9 & 10? What about jockey wheels are they interchangeable? If yes to both Qs then I'll assume you could use a 10 speed derailleur with an 8 & 9 chain

I'm a tad dumbfounded. If someone says they have a click noise when they ride there is 15 answers to offer advice, then 2 days later the OP replies " thanks guys it was a stick caught in the spokes." Here is a question that has a definitive answer, & not one wrench to be found that knows. AMAZING

Thanks S "We can rely on you" B.
Very happy now HR.
Thought for a while the Shimano "tell them zilch so we can sell 'em what they don't need" cone of silence was in action.
