steerer tube top bolt

Does any one know the size/thread of the bolt
that screws into the top of the fork steering
tube...the one that attaches the cap onto
the stem?
It's a carbon fork that came with an '05 Specialized
E5 SLX frame. The fork says Specialized Carbon 4.
It has a carbon steerer with some type of metal
insert in the center.
Thanks.

I'm fairly sure they are M6x1.0. Any hardware store should have a bolt that size for you to try.
