cantilever brake hanger question

Does anyone know if a rear cantilever cable hanger (seatpost clamp type) can be used with
a frame that has the cable bosses more on the bottom rather than the top??

I guess if you looked at a cross section of the top tube, the bosses would be located at about 135 degrees (if 0 degrees is the top of the tube), the rear boss ends about 2" before the seat tube. Seems to me like this would cause too much of a bend(s) in the cable.

Visualizing the frame from your description, I agree the distance between the top tube housing stop boss and your proposed seat tube hanger is too close and/or convoluted unless you can get a seatpost hangar with a lot of "drop" to improve the cable routing.

Nothing says you have to use the cable bosses on the frame. You can run housing from the levers to the hanger.
