help finding a pivot nut...

I know this should be in the "want to buy" page, but because I am new they won't let me post.

I bought a used front Shimano R600 break from a friend and the pivot nut is like nearly stripped (I didn't help any...). To be on the save side and to possibly save my neck (I ride a fixed gear) I want a new one.

Shimano's web site provided a spare parts list but no option to purchase anything.
btw: the product code is Y-855 75110

Does anyone know how to get hold of some after market parts--like this pivot nut (10.5mm)?

Go to any LBS and tell them what you need. Brake (not "break") mounting nuts are readily available.

If you become a paid member, then you can post on those forums. It is $25 well spent.

As to brake nuts, try here http://www.thethirdhand.com/
