tube brands

Looking for suggestions on tube brands to buy online. I do have one or two specialized tubes as spares, but are there others that are ok for less. Performancebike.com has Forte tubes (I guess their house brand) in 3 packs for what it seems the cost of one tube. Are these any good, or do I just buck up and if I need more get specialized or??

I have also started the collection of ones to be repaired, on my last flat I just swapped out the tube and brought the other one home for repair (since its been 20+ yrs since I've done one!) Seems like others here do the same.

I find pretty much every brand of stanard tube to be the same, no matter what the brand on the box was. There's probably only one or two huge bike tubes factories in china that make the majority of tubes for the whole world. I've had bad Experinces with cheap Chin Sheng (CST) tires, but every single tube I've every had was made in China, Taiwan, or Thailand, and they've always worked fine. So just go with whatever is cheap or on sale.

I also have a collection of tubes to be repaired, althouhg sometimes the never get repaired after I find a dozen tubes for 10 bucks at the swap meet...

I started using Performance Ultralight tubes, but they're probably the same as the Michelin Ultralights just rebranded. As mentioned above, I wouldn't be surprised if they were all made in the same place and branded before being sold. I do remember 10 years ago favoring latex tubes, but I don't see them around anymore.
