Need a Mechanic in South Bend area

I am looking for a bike mechanic, preferably located in or around the South Bend, Indiana area, for a one-day free-lance job.

The assignment is to inspect and provide an "off-the-record" opinion regarding the function of a brake that "locked up" and caused and accident.

The vehicle in question is at a law office in South Bend.

The job, as near as I can estimate, involves:
1. travel expenses to and from the law firm,
2. 15~20 minutes for a detailed visual inspection of the rear brake lever, cable, cable condition, brake, brake condition, drivetrain (chain and sprockets), rear tire and rear tire condition (including tire psi at time of inspection). Other than checking the tire PSI, no mechanical adjustments or alterations would be allowed.
3. Provide a verbal report to me. If the mechanic has a digital camera, that would be helpful, but not required.

We are willing to negotiate a generous consulting fee for this simple, one-day job.

We are not looking for anything other than a truthful opinion relating to the state of the vehicle in its present condition.

The time-frame is relatively flexible. It could be right away or in the next few weeks (Aug 2006), depending on the schedule & availability of the mechanic. It most certainly would be mid-week and not on an event weekend.

Thanks. I need a resume with detailed qualifications (years in industry, etc.)

Sincerely,

Bob Hadley
