Adjusting intergrated headset

I have a '04 Giant OCR1 that has an integrated headset. I want to try a different stem on it but am curious as to the adjustment for the headset. Is it the same as a non-integrated or are there torque specs that need to be followed. I checked Park Tool and Zinn and neither specify torque settings but I seen to recall that some integrated headsets require a certain torque for proper adjustment.

Thanks!

The procedure is the same. The torque specs can be obtained from the manufacturer.

The recommended preload torque varies among manufacturers but, as a guide, Cane Creek specifies a preload of 20 inch-pounds for their C2 threadless cartridge bearing headset. That's probably a reasonable starting point. It isn't enough to damage anything.
