SRAM. Meritorious commendation.
Took my Gemini to the lbs for the frame recall check (it passed ok) and the chief spanner gave my XO shifters and rear mech a critical eye and then gave me the thumbs up - I fitted them myself by the way. I know, you've all been there and done that a zillion times, but I appreciated his comments and it was a good feeling seeing that all come together.
First impressions are wow! I can definitely say that I can feel and hear the difference after the XT components I replaced. Shifting is positive and I find the gear numbers on the shifters are easy to read. The original LXs had a red bar indicator and I sometimes found that confusing. Maybe shifters like SRAM are not everyones ideal, but like my avatar states, jubalayo unogwaja, I am a happy bunny.
By the way. Big thanks to jim311 for the pm session he ran with me giving advice on installation and tuning/setup tips. Thanks jim311! That's the side of the fourms you can't put a price on!
