Can I use non-campy chorus 10-sp chain?

I'm in search of a campy chain pin. If I cannot find it, I wonder if there is any
campy 10-speed compatible chain out there. Can I use SRAM or Shimano?

You can use a Shimano or Wipperman 10-speed chain. I don't think SRAM 10-speed chains are available yet.

I have heard, but have no personal experience, that Shimano 9-speed chains will work well on Campy 10-speed drive trains.

Glory Cycles sells Campy 10-speed compatible chains by IRD. They come with a removable link like the SRAM's.

Don't know about the 9 speed on the 10, but my 9 speed shimano chain works great on my 9 speed campy. Although there is a slight width difference in the shimano vs. campy 10 speed chains. I know that Lennard Zinn adressed this issue in one of his "Gadgets" articles and it should be available in the archives at velonews.com.

You can also use a Wipperman connex connector on a Campy 10 speed. It's available as a separate item. The connector is also compatible with a the Campy ultra-narrow 10 Sp chain. P.
