Installing ISIS Bottom Bracket w/ Ashtabula Converter
I picked up an old Ross Gran Eurosport a few weeks ago with the intention of getting some time with a wrench without the risk of screwing up my road bike and being unable to ride. It came with a one-piece crank that weighed somewhere around 'way too much' so I took it out, picked up a converter so I could use a Truvativ BB / crankset I had lying around.
My screw up: I installed the converter backwards. It wasn't labelled, and I checked it to make sure I was doing it right, but at some point spacial dyslexia must have kicked in. I tried uninstalling it after realizing my error (when the BB would only thread in with the drive side on the left, and both had to turn in the direction of the cranks instead of against like they should). It's in there pretty solidly though, and I actually destroyed an allen wrench (yet somehow not the bolt) trying to get it out before giving up.
My question: Does it matter if the bottom bracket is installed backwards and threaded in the wrong way? It's going to be a fixed gear bike, so the cranks will be getting force applied in both directions, albeit still pretty well in favor of forward motion. If the torque direction isn't a problem, does it matter which side of the bike the drive train is on?
Any help is very appreciated, if the entire concept of just going with it and seeing how it turns out is idiotic please let me know and I'll curse and sweat my way to breaking it back down and doing it right.

I would get it out and put it back in the right way... no sense doing the job half right. Threads are the direction they are for a reason, putting the adaptor in the wrong way will just cause long term headaches.
