Crank wont stay tight.

hey i have this problem with my unicycle. i know this is a bike forum but....... anyways the left crank on my unicycle wont stay tight. i'm not sure what the problem is. should i get a lockwasher or use locktight... any help would be helpful

I am not familiar at all with unicycle bottom brackets and cranks. However, most loose cranks are solved by properly torquing the crank bolt to about 30 ft-lb. I would advise against a locking compound.

It may sound goofy, but are you sure your right and left hand cranks are on the proper sides? I've seen unicycles assembled with no regard for pedal threading... That said, make sure the cranks are torqued down proper, the 'direct drive' makes it a little bit harder to torque to proper spec... when in doubt, hold the other arm in a vise and give it a good tug...
