Just a tip of the hat from me to all of you.
My simple story was that my Trek 7200 FX was developing quite a squeak in what sounded like the cranks on hard downstrokes. I lubricated, tightened and checked everything I could think of checking -- but to no avail! So I fired up the computer and checked for tips in BF. I read a bunch of threads with excellent advice and found a couple of references to seat squeaks that could sound like crank squeaks.
IT WORKED!! And now everything is so tight and lubed the machine is quiet as a snowfall.
Many thanks to all of you who regularly contribute. You all deserve
