Campy vs Shimano 8spd cassette spacing

In other words, is it possible to set up Shimano 8spd cassette to work with 8spd Campy drivetrain?

I have a couple of spare Shimano compatible wheelsets, and am looking at a bicycle set up w/Campy 8. So, I was curious if an old Shimano 8 spd cassette (or current Sora) could be set up/spacered to work with the older Campy set up.

I tried multiple searches and didn't fiind anything so I would appreciate any advice, comment you all could provide.

Thanks!

The spacing is NOT the same (see www.sheldonbrown.com/k7.html#spacing), and it is not really close enough to make indexing work satisfactorily.

However several companies sell Shimano-spaced cassettes for Campy wheels, and Campy-spaced cassettes for Shimano wheels. Try AmericanClassic.com for those. There are also ways to replace the spacers in your cassette to make the spacing match, though I haven't done it personally.

This would be the cheapest way to go, and very effective:
