help, help, help
I have removed my freewheel hub body to replace it but it does not resemble anything i've seen before. It has a pre threaded end instead of a body fixing bolt, The shop i bought it from don't know where to get a replacement, they don't even know why i have this type. The bike is a Carrera Kraken 27speed.
Please help i'm getting F----d off. Cheers. |
So is it a freewheel or a freehub? The freewheel (older stuff) would have a threaded section to screw onto the hub itself. The freehub is attached more-or-less permanently to the hub, and the cassete slides over that to be secured by the screw-on small cog.
Pics would help. |

If it's a 27 speed bike it has to be a freehub.
Honestly, the more that I learn about some of the off-brand freehubs the more I love Campy and Shimano. If it was my bike, I'd get a new Shimano hub. |
