Rock Shox 302 Solo Air lound click when compressed

My son's bike has the Tora 302 Solo air front suspension fork. It makes a loud click noise when it has a deep compression. We checked the pressure, it was low, pumped it back up but the click is still there. I did a search and can't find anything on this. Does anyone think this could be a "blow off" or release valve type thing going on?

how old is the fork ? if its around the 12 month mark, has it been serviced ?

it might just be a quirky damper, can the click be felt through the handlebars ? if so their probably is somthing wrong/in need of some TLC.

Purchased in June 2006, so not even 6 months old yet. I don't know if it can be felt, I will have to grab his bike and take it for a ride -

another thing it could be is a scratch or dink in the stanchions.

do you know if the fork is loosing pressure over short periods of time ?

No scratches, dents or any visable damage. Seems to be holding pressure ok.
