I had a Cannondale Super V that I loved except for the bob factor. I upgraded the shock with a Fox RC air shock w/lockout. Made that bike sooooo much better! You need to measure the distance between the center of the mounting bolts & see if a shock is available with the same dimensions with a lockout. I think that Fox shock was about $325 brand new 6 years ago. I'm sure you can beat that these days. The tricky part is the bushings that come with the new shock vs. what yours has now. I had to do a little work on the bushings to get it mounted.

Well worth doing in my opinion.
