Swapping a headset

I have a Trek 6500 hardtail with an Aheadset headset. I just bought a Trek 9.8 elite carbon frame. Is it ok to use the old headset in the new frame or would I be better off getting a new headset.

You just spent a pretty good wad of money on the CF frame. You might as well drop the extra money for a new headset too. I would.

I would use the aheadset if it is in good condition. Headsets turn left and right. I've been riding an aheadset w/out a seal for three years on my moutainbike and I rode for a year on a pitted headset on my mountainbike.
