700c tire question
Hey everyone, I was wondering if I could put a 700x23 tire on a rim originally had a 700x35 tire. What do I need to measure if it's questionable? This is the first time I've dealt with this rim size so I'm in the dark, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Eric

Measure the inside width between the walls of the rim. It should be OK if it is 17 mm wide. If it is 19 mm, the narowest tire you should use is 25 mm. https://sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html

I had 700x35s on mine, and the smallest I could go was 700x28s. You'd be surprised at how quick and comfortable they feel as a change. Try a smaller step first... you might not need to go down to 23s.
