Tool for cutting a cable housing...

Anything special I should be looking for? Probably about to pick up one of Nashbar's tool kits that includes a cable cutter, and thought that would do the job. Objections?

Cable cutters are not the ideal tool for cutting housing. They cut at an angle (hard to describe) so the housing is not straight at the ends. This will make it so that the housing hits the stopper at a goofy angle, reducing the effectiveness of the cable. The correct tool? I think a pair of diagonal cutters works pretty well, but I dont know what the 'pros' use. It is also important to grind the ends of the cable with a bench grinder to get them as neat and straight as possible, then ream out the middle with a sharp pokey tool.

There was a thread exactly about this about 1 day ago.

Yikes! That's what I get for forgetting to do a search. Sorry, and thanks for the heads up!

Rotary tool (Dremel or equivalent) with a cut off wheel
Works like a charm and doesn't mangle or cave in the housing
